YMCA Essex works across the county helping young people, children, families and communities reach their potential through a variety of interventions, and interacts with an estimated 10,000 service users a year.

In terms of Housing, YMCA Essex operates a Supported Housing Project in Colchester with 44 units, with a view to expansion both on this site and further afield across the county.

As a part of the wider YMCA federation, YMCA Essex contributes to the YMCA being the largest National provider of supported accommodation to Young People, and its unique understanding of youth homelessness which in turn enables it to conduct pointed and successful lobbying at Parliament on these issues.
