About Wandle Housing Association
Wandle helps people in south London in housing need by building and managing quality homes. We were founded in 1967 as the Merton Family Housing Trust, and have since grown into an organisation with over 7,000 homes across 9 south London boroughs.
Our role as a landlord goes way beyond bricks and mortar. Providing a safe, modern, high quality home for a person or family who truly needs it is just the start. We believe that to really help people in housing need, we need to support thriving communities.
Our Community Investment projects are helping residents to achieve their goals. Set-up and project managed in-house, and delivered by third sector organisations based in the communities where we work, our activity covers six core themes: Neighbourhoods, Volunteering, Young People, Training, Getting Online and Employment.
Wandle is a developing housing association, and we’re helping to tackle the shortage of good quality affordable housing. Our recent development programmes have provided hundreds of new homes for the people most in need of housing. We’re stepping up our development programme and have set ourselves a target to build 1,000 much needed affordable homes in south London by 2021.
We offer a great working environment right by London Bridge, a genuine team ethos, excellent training and career development opportunities, and the chance to be part of an ambitious, service-focused organisation making a big impact in south London.

Purpose, Vision and Values
These core principles are weaved through everything we do - they guide our current work and future direction. They are the result of months of hard work and input from people across Wandle, as well as our residents and Board members.
Our purpose is the reason we exist, why we come to work everyday, and is at the forefront of our minds in all our work.
Supporting people, across South London, who need a home.
Our vision is what we aspire to achieve, our ‘big picture’ statement.
Homes to be proud of and services you can trust.
Our values are the core principles we live by, statements we can hold ourselves and each other to account over.
Aim high - We are ambitious for ourselves and each other, and celebrate and share in success
Own it - We take individual and collective responsibility for our actions, and are honest when things don't go right
Think customer - We believe the experience of our customers is everything, and that will always be at the forefront of our minds
Work together - We share insight, knowledge and experience to improve the way we work
Build relationships - We recognise that every person is unique, and reflect this in the relationships we build
