Executive Operations Director

We’re looking for someone with experience of leading and motivating a small team. You’ll have great management skills, ability to communicate well with a range of people and be technically proficient in an operations and housing role. We’re a small, local housing association in Cambridge. We have a friendly culture and know our customers well. Our team members are committed to helping those in most need of housing in Cambridge. Our Corporate Strategy sets out an ambitious plan to develop more homes, while improving customer services, business efficiency and developing motivated people.
Critical to our success is our move to become a more customer focused organisation, streamlining our operations, delivering value for money, and stretching ourselves. We have created a new Executive Operations Director role to combine the management of housing, repairs and maintenance, customer service and customer insight and engagement. We are investing to realise the potential of new technology, empowering our customers to have more influence over how and what services we provide through the use of more digital channels.
This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic vision, ideas and drive, and the ability to deliver innovation to develop personalised, efficient, and high quality services, which are ready for the challenges of the 2020s. To be successful you will need all those attributes, gathered in a professional housing role at a senior level; this means you will bring a thorough understanding of both the legislation and best practice in the sector. You will have a track record of innovating, collaborating, introducing new working practices and managing change in a professional environment, including teams outside your own discipline. You will care passionately about our mission and be able to create strong and supportive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
