Main Purpose:

To support the Treasury & Financial Accounting Manager in the day to day running of the Financial Accounts and Treasury team ensuring efficient and effective processing of financial transactions, reconciliations and correspondence with internal and external parties. Ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Association’s loan portfolio, and the appraisal and review of new initiatives. Ensure sufficient monies are available to meet the Group’s cash flow requirements. Management, recording and accounting of the Association’s assets.

This is a key post within the finance management team ensuring compliance with and management of the Association’s loan portfolio and the appraisal and review of new initiatives.

The post holder must be a self starter, preferably with experience at a manager level in a forward thinking financial environment, and be able to demonstrate their ability to be able to work to tight deadlines, consistently and accurately.

The post holder will be qualified or working towards a CCAB qualification with Housing Association knowledge and must have excellent IT skills. A working knowledge of MS office is essential and knowledge of Sage would be an advantage.

The post holder must be able to demonstrate a flexible approach and a willingness to work as part of a broader team, particularly during times of departmental pressure. The post holder must be willing to work with other teams throughout the Association.

The post holder must have the ability to work with minimum supervision and using initiative is essential, as well as being able to motivate a team. Excellent communication and presentation skills are vital to explain often complex information to non-financial colleagues.
