Senior Asset Surveyor

Based at Papermakers House, Swindon

£33,052 per annum (rising to £34,792 after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance)

35 hours per week

This job sits within Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited (SMCL). SMCL is responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs and refurbishments, estate services, gas servicing and installation and maintenance service across the UK to both internal and external clients.

The role of Senior Asset Surveyor will include:
* Identifying and commissioning targeted, value for money asset investment plans to ensure the on-going fit for purpose nature of the stock in support of Group objectives
* Managing contractors in accordance with their contractual terms, making recommendations for improvements and implementing actions as appropriate to ensure contract specifications continue to be met
* Ensuring investment works are compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements and make appropriate recommendations on changes that may need to be made mid-project to ensure full compliance and consistent delivery of services
* Managing the co-ordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers
* Producing appropriate documentation for work specifications and tenders and provide accurate and timely information for management reports

Skills and experiences:
* Building related degree, relevant professional qualification or knowledge and ability at an equivalent level
* Qualified to RICS Associate status or similar
* Proven experience of undertaking a similar role in a building and surveying environment
* A working knowledge of building regulations, legislation and current practices
* Due to the nature of this position travel is required; therefore it is essential that candidates hold a full, UK driving licence
