Chief Executive

Papworth Trust

Salary c. £110,000

Papworth Trust is a disability charity with a proud 100-year heritage. Throughout our history, we have sought to challenge society's perceptions about what disabled people can do, as well as delivering first class services to support disabled people to live their everyday lives.

We support thousands of people, their families and carers every year, and we work with disabled people to create a world where we can all be seen for what we can do. With a national profile and reputation that enables us to punch above our weight, we have a strong voice in representing disabled people and influencing the national policy agenda. We have healthy reserves and an associated charity that provides an annual grant, so we are in a better position to weather the storms than many others facing similar pressures.

The Trustees have agreed on a future direction that is centred on the organisation’s core strengths and we are now looking for a talented and visionary Chief Executive to further develop and deliver this strategy. Working closely with the Chair and the Board you will help shape and define our focus for the future as well as provide strong leadership right across our activities.

Already an established senior leader, you will bring a strong track of leading and delivering results in a complex, challenging and often ambiguous environment. Adept at initiating change management, you will also bring the skills and ability inspire our committed staff and volunteers and to develop and sustain our income streams.

With the vision, judgement and resilience to take us through the next stage of our development, you will share our desire to make a lasting difference to disabled people’s lives now and in the future, and will be as excited as we are about our potential to turn bold ambitions into reality.
