An exciting opportunity has arisen for a customer focused individual to join us in the role of Housing Assistant (Estates). The main purpose of this role is to provide support and assistance to the Communities and Neighbourhoods Manager and Housing Officers in the provision of an effective housing management and customer focused service.

As part of this role, you will assist the Communities and Neighbourhoods Manager and Housing Officers in the enforcement of tenancy conditions in line with service standards and policies. This will include assisting in the investigation of complaints, neighbour disputes and hate incidences, liaising with appropriate agencies as necessary and recording and updating Anti-Social Behaviour cases on the in-house system.  You will also assist with the management of estate contracts, the appearance of schemes, identifying communal repairs and reporting them to the Maintenance team.

Strong communication skills are essential as you will be helping and advising tenants with problems relating to their tenancy, including; repairs, maintenance, neighbour disputes and general housing needs.

We are looking for a results driven and proactive individual with experience of working closely with customers in a customer focused environment. Highly numerate and literate, you will possess 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C or above. As the role will require you to carry out administration functions, it is an essential requirement that you have administration experience.  Experience of working within a housing team would be beneficial. This role would suit a highly organised individual who can thrive in a busy environment and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
