Assistant Finance Officer - Accounts Payable

Worcester

£17,150 per annum (rising to £18,201 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

35 hours per week

Joining a team of 14 within the invoice management team the Assistant Finance Officer will be highly motivated and have excellent attention to detail. The Invoice Management team sits within the wider Accounts Payable department and has over 30 team members.  You will validate and process incoming invoices as per payment terms and take ownership of your workload.

The role of Finance Officer will include:

  • Validation and processing invoices as per payment terms
  • Assisting in the production of statistical information
  • Processing and problem solving urgent queries
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate and timely records
  • Other general financial administrative work

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within Accounts Payable is desirable
  • GSCE Maths and English Grade C and above
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to process large volumes of data
  • Previous experience of consistently working to deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and OneNote
  • Flexibility and adaptability are also required to be successful within this position
