Salary:            £21,279 FTE

Hours:            1 X 16 hours post and 1 X 15 hours post

(shifts over a 3 week rolling rota between 9am – 7pm)

X 1 post 16 hours per week consisting of evenings (4pm-7pm) and 1 weekend in 3 with paid on call on the weekend worked

X1 post 15 hours per week consisting of days, evenings (4pm-7pm) and 1 weekend in 3 with paid on call on the weekend worked

We currently have an opportunity for two Support workers to join our dedicated team in Northampton and we really want to hear from you if;

  • You have the ability to initiate change and identify improvements by evaluating options, and discussing with appropriate line management;
  • Have experience in communicating with service users, staff and other agencies;
  • Have an understanding of quality and how it will apply to the services being offered;
  • Have the ability to use basic problem solving skills and crisis intervention.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work as an integral part of a dedicated Independent Living team. You will assess, support and promote the needs of young homeless parents and assist in the all round provision of a supported environment to enable clients to improve their quality of life, whilst securing suitable permanent accommodation.

On a day to day basis you will be supporting the Project Manager in the operation of the service, collecting monies in relation to service charges and monitoring arrears and debts.  You will also manage casework, keep detailed and accurate records, participate in the organisation of activities, keep senior staff members informed of any issues which affect the delivery of the service, ensure advice and information supplied to clients is accurate and up to date and undertake the role of Duty Officer on a rota basis.   

The successful candidate must be able to build and maintain effective and courteous relationships with clients and staff members, display a ‘can do’ attitude with drive and enthusiasm and behave in a manner that promotes our mission and core values.
