Development Project Manager

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £36,927 per annum, increasing to £ 38,870 per annum after 12 months in post.

Permanent, Full time (35 hours)

This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of our development schemes under the direct supervision of one of our Area Development Managers.  As a Project Manager, you will lead a number of development projects, positively representing our organisation and providing ongoing technical expertise.

Coordinating the relevant parties, you will liaise closely with internal officers, external consultants, design personnel and our Legal Officer.  You will be involved in contract documentation from the initial purchase of land to the handover of completed properties, ensuring that all information is passed to the appropriate people.

The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of current construction and health and safety regulations and also is results driven. You will have the skills to manage contractors out on site, communicate with a wide range of people and work in partnership with colleagues and external organisations.

Ideally you will be educated to degree standard or equivalent, although this is not essential.  Most importantly, you will have a strong understanding of development and the relevant procedures and best practice to support this. It is desirable that candidates have previous experience in a development role in the housing/development sector. Due to the nature of the role, it is also essential that you possess a full UK driving licence.
