Building Homes. Developing Futures

Come and join our expanding Development team at this exciting time.

Clarion Housing Group is a major housing developer with the financial strength, capacity, skills and expertise to deliver a wide range of housebuilding and regeneration schemes. Our target is to build 50,000 new homes over the next 10 years as one of the country's top 5 house builders. In order to achieve our goal we are expanding our team and looking for ambitious, passionate and dedicated development professionals to join us on our journey.

We're currently looking for an exceptional Senior Planning Manager with a high ability in tendering and project planning techniques to help us realise our ambition.

Reporting directly to the Cost Planning and Estimating Director, you'll assist in developing the approach to both tender (securing) and project (monitoring) planning for the Commercial and Technical Team.

Ultimately, you'll hold overall responsibility for the output of the Planning Function. We'll require you to assist the Group in winning new work by providing accurate programming support and assist the control of the total bidding process. You'll need to produce and test own outputs against norms used by housebuilding and contracting parties and will be tasked with benchmarking outputs and challenge Joint Venture and Framework Partners where necessary.

Initially, we will look to you to establish and communicate the planning function and embed the new processes and controls into the wider Development Department.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support as requested to the Development Team to aid monitoring and control of work on site.
  • Providing appropriate training and support for others within the Commercial and Technical Team and the wider Development Department as required.
  • Providing instruction and guidance to external consultants, contractors and housebuilders.
  • Ensuring knowledge of new build processes and components stays up to date and relevant to Clarion Housing Group workload.

A Chartered Member of an appropriate institute, you'll be a highly experienced practitioner with a wide experience in leading the planning function. You'll be proficient at leading and managing a team at various levels of experience with excellent communication skills, and strong personal qualities including leadership, time management and a generally high standard of delivery. You'll come to us with experience of a variety of project types particularly residential and high density schemes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your extensive skills and experience to really make a difference.

If you feel your attributes and skillset match our requirements, then we'd love to hear from you. In return we offer you a competitive salary and generous benefits package in a supportive environment, with plenty of scope for your career advancement and salary progression.
