We are looking for a Project Surveyor for a team that ensure the council’s statutory duties, obligations and its objectives are achieved in respect of compliance. The post holder will support in areas including Gas Servicing & Repairs, Electrical Safety and other associated Mechanical and Electrical Services.
Successful candidates will ideally have a good working knowledge across all areas of compliance in particular Mechanical and Electrical services.
You will be part of a team which support Stevenage Borough Council’s programme to modernise social housing as part of its vision to develop the town through its Future Town Future Council programme. You will undertake a full range of contract management services relating to the delivery of the compliance programme.
You will assist in aspects of delivering compliance including:
- Managing statutory & non-statutory compliance
- Performance managing large service contracts
- Proposing, implementing and managing effective models for compliance and procuring contracts to deliver the required services.
- Ensuring all relevant details are included in the tender specifications
- Managing works phases and contract defect period
- Managing budget and controlling expenditure
The successful candidates will ideally have knowledge and experience of contract management and staff management delivered in a social housing or local authority environment. The candidate will be committed to delivering excellent customer service, have demonstrable contract management experience, hold a relevant related qualification and be able to effectively manage and prioritise own workload.
