Asset Surveyor                                     

Based in Newport, 37 hours per week - Salary £30,265 pa

What will you do?

In addition to undertaking stock condition surveys, you will identify, co-ordinate and manage repair and upgrade works and minor capital projects.  You will deliver our Asset Management Strategy, understand the performance of our properties and estates and ensure that planned investment decisions consider the needs of customers, the business, the environment and the wider community.  Key outcomes will be delivering quality, well maintained homes that are energy efficient and where customers want to live.

Whilst a good technical knowledge is a given, we are also looking for someone with the vision to drive innovation in service delivery and the experience of procurement that will ensure that value for money is achieved.  Further requirements for the role include a good understanding of health & safety, the ability to manage contracts/contractors, project management and cost /quality control.
