Brent Council is an exciting place to be right now. We’re looking for a compliance professional to join us in a key management role. It’s a chance to help make Brent a safer place to work for the Council’s tenants and leaseholders as you embed a compliance and auditing culture. Reporting to the Head of Property Services, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team including the Mechanical & Electrical Team Manager, the Health & Safety Compliance Manager, the Asbestos Management & Property Officer and the Lift/Electrical Engineer. This multi-faceted role, encompassing health and safety, compliance and insurance, requires staying at the cutting edge of developments, legislation and guidance in your field.

You will ensure the Council complies with its landlord statutory and non-statutory duties and obligations. The accountable officer on all property statutory compliance areas and health & safety matters housing , you’ll provide professional advice in these fields to managers, directors and members.

Now you’re ready to use your skills at an organisation where they’ll be valued. If you’re strong on building partnerships, both within the council and with other local authority and public sector organisations, and have a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, we’ll give you the scope to contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
