Things are moving fast at Brent Council. We’re one of London’s most successful boroughs when it comes to new initiatives and smarter working; whether it’s our recent ground-breaking homelessness prevention scheme or reducing carbon footprints, we’re leading the way. We’ve transformed our Customer Services, embraced leading-edge data mining and set up an innovative programme of outcome-based budget reviews. It’s all part of wide-ranging change designed to take us into the future. Join us as an Contracts & Commissioning manager, and you’ll be part of a Council with a real commitment to progress.

Brent Council is an exciting place to be right now. We’re recruiting an experienced professional to join us in a unique project role. You’ll be responsible for the delivery of major works, planned and special projects from inception to completion. It’s a chance to stretch yourself as you lead on multiple, concurrent projects while inspiring your multidisciplinary and technical investment team to deliver. Through your leadership we’ll have an excellent customer-driven property project delivery service that puts customers at its heart.

Ready to embed a culture of performance management, compliance, and value for money, you’ll provide excellent financial management in budgets. You’ll also ensure that all works are compliant with relevant legislation and regulations, including the 2014 Asbestos and CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.

Now you’re ready to use your skills at an organisation where they’ll be valued. If can bring the experience of delivering planned and major schemes within the housing sector together with membership of RICS, CIOB or CIOH or equivalent, we can offer you the chance to shine. Committed to high standards, you’ll help us shape the future of council housing building projects, not just in Brent, but across the whole country.
