  • We have in place a joint venture partnership with Hill- the ‘Cambridge Investment Partnership’ bringing resources expertise and funding from each party to deliver the homes Cambridge needs.

As Senior Development Manager within the Housing Development Agency at Cambridge City Council, you’ll play an intrinsic part in facilitating the delivery of additional housing across the Greater Cambridge Area, including projects delivered through our Investment Partnership. You will be leading on key areas of the HDA business plan and its development, ensuring we deliver our commitments and effectively manage programme and project risks.

This is a chance for you to work with the Head of Service to manage the team, bringing forward and delivering public sector led housing and other developments, on our own land (General Fund as well as HRA), other public land, and new land acquisitions.

Your project management experience of leading the delivery of major complex housing or multi-use projects for public sector organisations from start to finish is important for this role.   Qualified to degree level or with a professional qualification, you’ll have the confidence and charisma to build and manage successful relationships with key partners and stakeholders. Experience of commissioning and procuring professional services relevant to the full cycle of housing development, including consultants, architects and developers, will be essential. What’s more, you’ll have the robust project, team and budget management skills to oversee delivery of and to deliver complex programmes to deadline and budget.

The work of the HDA is of huge importance to us and our communities and if you have the talents we’re looking for, we’ll give you a warm welcome here in our beautiful city– and access to a range of rewards and benefits including generous annual leave, pension, discounts on public transport and opportunities for flexible working.
