Head of Finance & Corporate Services

Penge Churches Housing Association (PCHA) | 3 days pw | Penge, Bromley

Glebe Housing Association | 2 days pw | West Wickham

This is a truly unique opportunity to work with two small housing associations in Penge, Bromley that share similar values and are working together to recruit a truly exceptional Head of Finance & Corporate Services. We believe that we can share the right person by working flexibly together, but equally we recognise that these may be separate roles and we are open to this possibility too.

PCHA is a successful, small community-based registered provider of social housing based in Penge, Bromley.  PCHA own and manage 270 homes and are passionate about working together with tenants to make a positive impact on our community. Glebe Housing Association was formed in 1974 as a not for profit organisation providing sheltered accommodation for older people. Set in the extensive grounds of Bencurtis Park in West Wickham, Kent, the Association has 202 homes in the form of rented apartments and leasehold bungalows and a 48-bed nursing home.

We are both seeking to recruit a highly skilled, flexible and enthusiastic Head of Finance & Corporate Services to deliver our finance and other corporate support services at both an operational and strategic level. Acting as Deputy CEO and Company Secretary, this is a critical and exciting new role for the right person, with lots of scope to play a key role in supporting the CEO and Board to drive the organisations forward.  Working within a small organisation means that you will have the unique opportunity to understand and shape the business and make a real difference to the organisation(s) and our residents.

We are looking for a fully qualified finance professional, preferably with housing sector experience, with a positive approach and strong strategic leadership skills. We need a great communicator who will act as an ambassador for PCHA/Glebe, forging and sustaining strong relationships with board members, lenders, regulators and other key stakeholders.  As well as strong business acumen, technical skills and a commitment to customer service, the successful candidate(s) will embody the vision, values and ambitions of PCHA/Glebe and motivate the teams accordingly.
