Managing rent arrears and other breaches of tenancy conditions as part of a small and friendly team, this is an exciting role which, working closely with housing management, maintenance and finance colleagues, will work closely with tenants both to sustain tenancies and to secure the Association’s rental income stream.

There will be a need to work flexibly and supportively with colleagues, to become a real advocate for the Association, the work it does and the people it serves and to help make Shropshire Rural a great place to work.

Skills/Experience required:

  • Proven income recovery and tenancy enforcement skills
  • A sound knowledge of the relevant legal and policy frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal and team-working skills
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Sound organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to exercise initiative and judgement
  • The ability to properly represent the Association in Court proceedings

Driving will be an essential part of the role: you will also have a full driving licence and the use of a suitable vehicle.

In addition to the salary, we offer 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays on appointment, increasing with length of service, and the opportunity to join the Social Housing Pension Scheme.

Shropshire Rural Housing Association is committed to fairness and equality of opportunity. We welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates from all sections of the community.
