Looking for a rewarding role in a dynamic and diverse organisation? We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Manager to join our Strategic Asset Management team and play a key role making a difference to the lives of homeless people. With an ambition to reverse the rise in rough sleeping in all the areas we operate, we prioritise accommodation for the homeless.

As a Property Manager, you will provide essential support to the growth agenda by enabling the acquisition of good quality residential property, and managing a number of commercial properties to ensure value for money and safe buildings for clients and staff.

You will identify and scope new property opportunities, lead in the co-ordination of acquisition/lease negotiations and report on stock condition and remedial work of any potential acquisitions. You will also provide specialist advice and input at senior level including contribution to Board and governance reports and in relation to the organisational approach to contract and lease management.

You will also lead in ensuring our existing property is suitable and up to the required standard, liaising with the local managers of those properties in relation to their needs and challenges. This will include stock condition surveys, planning the scope of works and costings, liaising with contractors, consultants and agents to co-ordinate information and projects and co-ordinating all health and safety input for office and commercial property.

Essential for this role is previous experience of technical property inspection, to include identifying scope of works and associated budget requests, ensuring compliance with building regulations and H&S obligations. You will also have experience of end to end contract management for property refurbishment, from procurement and construction site management; managing contracts within budgets, through to completion of defects. You will also have good knowledge of Homes England (formerly HCA) standards and procedures

Excellent communication skills and experience of successfully co-ordinating a number of projects simultaneously including resource allocation, time management, and working through others to achieve results, is also essential.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives. We offer flexible start and finish times during the working week and have a generous Time Off In Lieu (flexi) scheme enabling you to accrue up to 3 working days flexi leave each month. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.

If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we would love to hear from you.
