Director of Development & Asset Management

Abercynon, South Wales
Circa £60k per annum + car allowance
Permanent (secondments considered)

Cynon Taf Community Housing Group lies in the heart of Rhondda Cynon Taf in glorious South Wales. We’re proud of our deep-rooted history in providing housing and support for the people and communities where we work.

We currently provide 1850 homes for rent, including 5 housing schemes for older people. We also provide a well-respected Care & Repair service for older or disabled people living in privately-owned homes.

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Director of Development and Asset Management to ensure our new and existing homes are places where people want to live.

As a Senior Management Team member you will play a key  role in the strategic management of the organisation,  working with the Chief Executive, Directors and Board. With overall responsibility for the development and  maintenance of our homes, you’ll also relish the  opportunity to develop and implement strategic plans  for our future and existing property, managing a great  team of dedicated people, and working alongside our  involved tenants. You will play a crucial role in making sure our homes meet the needs of our communities  and the people in them.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification (eg. RICS, CIOB or similar), and significant management experience, preferably within the social housing sector. Awareness of current and future challenges facing social housing is crucial, as will be an appreciation of the legislative and regulatory framework for housing associations in Wales.

We are looking for someone with the positive determination to  drive our group forward, making long term plans for the future and seeing them to fruition. Ultimately, this is a great opportunity for the  right candidate to make a significant difference to the people in  our community.
