Are you seeking an exciting Apprenticeship opportunity?

We're looking for an exceptional Repairs Operative Apprentice to support our Property Services Teams in undertaking general repair and refurbishment tasks to Clarion Housing Group properties.

Whilst studying for a Level 2 Property Maintenance Apprenticeship Standard, you'll receive training in the correct use of tools and equipment. You'll also develop new key skills and behaviours to ensure that our customers receive a first class, hassle free standard of repair service.

You'll be providing a high quality and efficient repairs service, taking responsibility for managing your own workload to deliver excellent customer service including job turnaround times and keeping to agreed appointments. You'll need to work outside of normal working hours on occasion and take part in an emergency repairs service during evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

We'll look to you to manage your own time as well as the materials for which you are responsible so that waste and cost is kept to a minimum

Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring that the health and safety of yourself and all others affected by your work is a priority
  • Ensuring that procedures and policies set out within the Driver and Vehicle Policy and Safety Handbook are adhered to
  • Using hand held mobile IT systems to receive and provide job information, ensuring the equipment provided is kept in good condition and secure at all times.

You'll need to trust and act on your own initiative and respond to the numerous challenges in a challenging area of work, taking advantage of the training, site activity and learning opportunities generated.

You'll be able to work both independently and as part of a team with a flexible, pro-active and self-motivated approach to work.

Educated to GCSE level standard or equivalent, you'll display excellent people skills and a track record of working with the general public.

Applicants must be able to regularly travel within the area.

This post is subject to a Basic Criminal Record Check Clearance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a valuable qualification and develop your skills to enhance your career opportunities.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, we look forward to hearing from you.
