We now have an opportunity available for a Strategic Lead for Business Development to join us to take the lead, working with Directors on all aspects of development projects in ForViva’s Development and ForLiving Teams.

Responsible for managing and coaching staff, and acting as a key point of contact with Finance for budgets within the development function, you will work as a part of ForViva’s Operational Management team to successfully implement strategies and ensure a high level of performance across the organisation; working to develop strong and effective cross functional working initiatives and taking the lead on developing and implementing specific corporate initiatives.

You will play a vital role in the risk management of Development activity and will work diligently with the Directors of Development and ForLiving to provide regular updates and assurances on risk management processes; preparing and presenting reports to the Development Committee and Board and working closely with the Development Committee in relation to future development associated strategies.

With detailed and experienced knowledge of identifying/appraising and negotiating development opportunities (including major complex developments, joint ventures and other non-traditional multi agency housing association growth initiatives), candidates must have experience of managing large development projects in a complex and demanding service area and be capable of making Homes England bids, grant claims and overseeing audits. 

Able to prepare, negotiate and award development contracts, you must be skilled in budget setting and control and have experience of developing and successfully implementing service improvement plans.
