Salary: £60,000 per annum

Full time, 36.25 hours per week, 6 months fixed term contract

The Role

Are you looking for a high-profile business management role in a modern, customer focussed organisation that combines commercial thinking with social purpose? Orbit are one of the UK's leading Housing Providers and are looking for a Business Manager to join their team based in Stratford-upon-Avon.

This challenging but highly rewarding role is a chance to be at the forefront of expanding the Independent Living services that Orbit deliver. Independent Living is already a significant part of our business, providing services to over 10,000 customers. The supported living projects we manage include; independent living, older people, mental health and homelessness.
The goal of this role is to deliver the existing commercial services while developing business opportunities to drive future growth. As the Business Manager you will develop an understanding of the external marketplace and help Orbit to identify and obtain new income streams. You will work with a range of internal stakeholders to analyse existing programmes and make recommendations to optimise their efficiency and effectiveness, with the goal of retaining those services when they retender.
We are seeking a leader and an influencer who can inspire, innovate and improve services. An eye for detail and an in-depth knowledge of contract and commercial management are vital, ideally in a social context. You will also have an excellent record of securing new business and leading contracts and tenders. Finally, a demonstrable experience of financial modelling and a proven experience of project management will be needed to ensure you can drive change and improvement across the services.
This role will be offered as a 6-month fixed term contract with a possibility of extension and permanent opportunities.
