Deputy Scheme Manager
CONTRACT TYPE: 12 month FTC
HOURS: 27.5 per week, 55 hour fortnight on a rolling rota.

We are currently looking for a Deputy Scheme Manager to work in one of our 'lunch service' schemes, in Surrey. As deputy manager you will be responsible for the overall day to day management of the scheme in the absence of the Manager. It will include the security and quality of life of the residents and supervision of staff which includes 2 part-time scheme cooks. Some knowledge of catering and nutrition would be useful.
Successful applicants will have previous experience of working with older people, excellent communication and customer service skills, be computer literate and be capable of dealing calmly and efficiently with day to day problems and emergencies.
The post holder will be responsible for the smooth running of the scheme with the scheme manager, working to a rota to provide on-site cover between the hours of 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 to 15:30 Saturday and Sunday, you will also cover Bank holidays including Christmas. For weekend and Bank Holiday working enhancements are payable. Effective communication skills and a commitment to a positive working relationship are essential.
