Head of Project Office

We are delivering a major transformation change programme, in the way in which we deliver services and how we are structured as a business.
As part of a continued focus on developing and shaping our customer services and supporting our wider operational teams, we are looking for a Head of Project Office(one post) to join our Projects Team.
Reporting to the Executive Director - Property, you provide effective project management of Onward's change programme to help deliver the Groups business objectives. You will provide effective project management support to ensure effective governance, leadership, planning and engagement to ensure project success, to all for effective handover into the business as usual environment and ensure a mechanism for continuous improvement is in place and fully adopted.
Providing clear leadership and management to a team of Project Managers and a Business Process Analyst, you will develop a business partnering environment including engaging with key internal stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the change programme. You will apply and embed a structured methodology to the resourcing and delivery of the overall change portfolio, including alignment with business objectives, prioritisation, identification of anticipated benefits, structure and resource optimisation, whilst developing an effective reporting and monitoring structure that provides visibility and transparency and promotes effective decision making.
You should have proven experience in Project Management and risk management expertise with demonstrable understanding of critical path and dependency planning, whilst experience in providing a strategic support role with demonstrable influencing ability. You must have experience working with Business Process Analysts and a clear appreciatition of the role and impact on continuous improvement as well as prioritisation, definition and management of organisational change portfolio.
It is essential you have excellent oral and written communications skills with excellent facilitation and presentation skills. You should have the ability to lead / deliver confidently at all levels in an engaging way whether at meetings, workshops or business change briefings, with the ability to work autonomously and effectively to deadlines.
You should be qualified to degree or commensurate level of experience in a business related activity, with a Project Management qualification (Prince 2, APM or equivalent) and Programme Management qualification (MSP or equivalent) both at Practitioner level.
