Head of Finance
Based: London Head Office
Hours: Fully time - 35 hours/week
About the Role
We are looking for someone for our new Head of Finance role to be the day-to-day management and control of financial services ensuring that all aspects of financial accounting, management accounting and treasury management are delivered to high professional standards compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
The candidate should be able to assist in the strategic financial planning of the organisation and ensuring that the Association’s financial resources are well-managed, achieve value-for-money in their application and minimise financial risk. To be responsible for the effective operation of the financial controls environment following best practice and to ensure that all statutory and regulatory obligations are complied with. To lead and inspire the Finance team to deliver an effective and highly regarded enabling service ensuring sound and appropriate financial advice is given and management information available on a timely basis to ensure all key decisions are appropriately.
You will have knowledge of the housing sector regulatory requirements, a good understanding of taxes, VAT & property understanding and a full membership of a CCAB body. Strong management skills and orgnaisational skills are essential along with excellent communication skills with the ability to develop solid working relationships with key external stakeholders.
