Taking the lead in housing delivery
Transforming Bristol’s housing
This is a period of exciting change, as we aim to re-shape housing and landlord services across Bristol City Council’s 28,500 homes and associated land holdings. You will be accountable for our designated service teams – ensuring that we work to achieve our agreed policies, strategies and plans. As well as focusing on the needs of our customers and managing the relationship with various stakeholders, you will help us to deliver results and drive improvement.
Taking on a true leadership role
Providing confident leadership and clear management, you will develop a culture of collaboration and accountability across the city, while building and developing partnerships in the wider community and with agencies and business. Leading on our change programmes, to ensure we’re always meeting the needs of customers, you will also provide performance management for our service delivery and ensure that our housing stock is safe, well managed and maintained.
Drawing on your experience
Able to demonstrate sustained success in housing management, you will have significant experience in developing strategy, delivering services and managing multi-disciplinary teams. We’re clearly looking for established leadership ability and a track record in continuous improvement and change. An analytical problem-solver, you will be comfortable managing finance, budgets and performance targets. You will also be a confident negotiator and presenter, though, who can forge relationships with stakeholders and work well as part of our Housing and Landlords Senior Management Team.
What we can offer
As well as a competitive salary and pension, we offer 24 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 29 days after five years’ continuous service. You will also be part of an annual leave top-up scheme and can choose to join a cycle-to-work salary sacrifice scheme. Our great working environment features attractive open-plan workspaces.
To apply, you will need to submit a CV along with a Cover Letter.
