bpha is a major housing association operating between Oxford and Cambridge, based in Bedford. We are a leading provider and developer of affordable homes - for rent, sheltered, residential care and shared ownership. We own around 18,000 homes, employ 350 people, and have an annual turnover of around £100 million.

We are currently seeking a proactive and professional Land Manager with excellent social housing market knowledge and a proven track record of acquiring land, property and new business opportunities.

Effectively managing the acquisition of the sites you will lead projects from initial identification to site purchase and through to the commencement of construction works on site. You will be responsible for achieving suitable planning permissions and leading negotiations for land purchases and contract negotiations for the development of new homes for the association. You will also be responsible for preparing competitive bids and tenders as well as the identification of JV opportunities which deliver the growth and asset management strategy.

The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of housing development / procurement as well as a sound understanding of funding models. You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent, along with having excellent experience of Microsoft Office and project management software. Social housing market knowledge is required.

Due to the nature of the role, you must hold a full UK driving license.
