Job Details
The Gas Service and Repairs Engineer is an essential member of the Direct Repairs department, the role is to carry out the installation and the repair/maintenance of gas heating equipment within Optivo stock in a safe and proper manner to the benefit of Optivo and its residents.
As a member of the Direct Services Team, the primary focus of the Gas Service and Repairs Engineer is to provide a high quality responsive maintenance service to all residents, internal colleagues and partners.
- Qualified to ACS or equivalent ACOPS etc – Must be approved by Gas Safe for gas safety, central heating boilers, water heaters and gas fires.
- Formal technical qualification in gas installation, repair and servicing.
- Part “P” electrical certification.
- Experience of working in a building environment and completing gas repair, servicing and refurbishment work in tenants homes.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e. Construction, Building Regulations and Health & Safety
- Experience of working within direct labour teams, with competent building knowledge to provide advice and guidance as and when
