The main purpose of this role is to provide a high quality; customer focused responsive, cyclical, planned and void maintenance service within the organisation’s properties and for external customers.  To ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and the organisation’s operational procedures.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all installation and maintenance repair works to void and tenanted properties are carried out to a high standard achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and first time completion.  To ensure all work undertaken is fully compliant with Health & Safety procedures and legislation so that properties are safe for residents to live in and the major incident risk is reduced and to include a safe working environment to staff and customers.

You should possess multi-skills knowledge and the competency to effectively coordinate a linked programme of works with the ability to plan each job ensuring the required materials are available to complete the works. 

You should possess time served or relevant qualification in carpentry, plumbing or wet trades and ideally hold an unvented heating and hot water qualification.  You should have experience of installations, maintenance and repairs and be able to use handheld devices.  You should be asbestos awareness trained.  You should be able to communicate effectively with a positive approach to problem solving. 

You should be able to adapt and adopt a flexible approach to hours worked as you will be required to fulfil the duty rota as required.  You should hold a full UK driving licence.
