An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Housing Strategy & Partnership Team which delivers services to meet corporate, directorate and service housing priorities.
As a member of the Team you will work with colleagues to produce and implement housing strategies and policies, undertake customer and stakeholder engagement to drive service improvements and work with colleagues, both internally and externally, to facilitate and develop the Council's understanding of housing needs.
The role has a very strong emphasis on partnership working and will take a lead on work relating either to strategic Gypsy & Traveller services or strategic homelessness services, ensuring that these services are delivered within the Council’s framework of quality standards, performance targets and legislative requirements.
You will be educated to degree or equivalent academic level or hold a relevant professional qualification and will have demonstrable knowledge of the current trends and issues affecting the delivery of housing services. You will be able to present complex issues to a diverse audience and will possess excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills.
Communication is critical to this role and you will be able to demonstrate a breadth of skills and ability in successfully working with professions, stakeholders and/or local communities to achieve an identified target or output. You will also be able to analyse and interpret information, pre-empt and evaluate issues, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
