As a housing development officer you will have an understanding of social housing, experience of the development of residential housing and in addition understand the socio-economic and political factors as they relate to housing in the UK. You will be able to work in a methodical, accurate and systematic manner to ensure all processes are complete effectively and efficiently and are able to work independently on specific tasks as well as within the team.

Based in Godalming, this is a versatile role, where you will effectively project manage a portfolio of new build residential projects from conception through to various approval processes, design stages, construction period and post completion evaluation to ensure the development objectives are achieved. A knowledge and understanding of risk and contract management as it relates to development and an understanding of regeneration is desirable.

Your background could be in project management, property development, construction, planning, or area regeneration. You will manage projects under your own initiative, while part of a good supportive team.

You will also need to have excellent customer care skills, an adaptable approach and the ability to communicate well with all stakeholders.
