Abertay aims to enhance the quality of life within the communities it serves, and is committed to providing affordable homes and retirement housing across Dundee and Angus. The organisation has recently celebrated its 21^st anniversary - since 1997 Abertay has supported tenants and communities, providing safe and quality homes to those who need it most.

Abertay was formed by a Large Voluntary Transfer; in 1997 houses were purchased from Scottish Homes and Abertay was born. Operating as a registered charity, the Association has grown considerably since conception and now has over 1,800 houses across Dundee & Angus, including 275 retirement housing properties. The organisation also provides a factoring service to over 2,000 homes and continues to develop new properties with ambitious growth plans in the coming years.

The Association is now looking for a new Chief Executive who will provide strategic leadership and direction to the organisation and staff. The new leader will work closely with the board, and lead Abertay into a new era through innovation and modernisation.

The successful candidate will embrace the mission of enhancing the quality of life for the communities which Abertay serves, and hold a passion for improving housing services. The appointed candidate will inspire, innovate and evidence an excellent track record of leading and managing people.

Abertay’s new Chief Executive will have experience of working with a range of key stakeholders, including the board, to ensure delivery of excellent services as well as creating opportunities for improvement and growth.

Experience of housing development would be beneficial; you will also be up to date with current legislation affecting the housing sector in Scotland.

Abertay is now well positioned to appoint a new leader who will continue to modernise and develop the organisation, creating further opportunities for its communities, tenants and staff.
