Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist

The Role

To work within our Technical Team to take responsibility for the technical and working drawings aspects of projects either designed in house or by others, to visit sites, undertake measured surveys and assist the running of small refurbishment and new build projects.

Technical and Personal Skills

Fully conversant with Building Regulations, NHBC, HCA and other similar requirements. 

Must be practically minded with exceptional technical skills in refurbishment and new build residential flats and housing schemes. 

Must be able to produce technical details with a full understanding of detailing in respect of acoustic, fire separation and thermal issues.

Used to working to and meeting deadlines and programmes.

Knowledge of the planning process including making online applications.

Good, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise with consultants and contractors.

Valid current driving licence.

Qualifications Required:

HNC/HND, degree and/or membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists or similar.

IT Skills:

The applicant must be fully conversant with AutoCAD.   Other packages we occasionally use are Sketch Up, Vectorworks, Photoshop, InDesign and Archicad.  Experience of working with BIM/REVIT is desirable but not essential.

Training:

Full assistance will be given to complete professional studies or undertake CIAT or similar examinations.
