Our Environmental Service team works with residents to deliver great housing services to make Lewisham safer, cleaner and greener. As a Chargehand Caretaker, you will play an important role in making our housing estates great places to live.
Your main duties will include:

Providing support in Supervising and co-ordinating a team of Caretakers and Housing Estate Cleaners, deputising for Supervisor when needed.

Responsibility for ensuring sweeping and cleaning takes place inside and outside to standard.

Reporting defects and requesting repairs for communal areas

Reporting welfare concerns and anti-social behaviour.

This is what we are looking for:
Experience of working in caretaking, cleaning or refuse removal
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Good communication skills
Ability to drive and hold a full clean UK drivers licence.
You will be joining the biggest team in Lewisham Homes and could be working in any area of our management areas; Deptford, New Cross, Brockley, Lewisham, Blackheath, Catford, Sydenham, Forest Hill and Honor Oak so you should be happy to travel to these areas.
We currently have vacancies for two full-time roles available and all roles require a full UK driving licence.
