The Role

Our Environmental Services team works with residents to deliver great housing services making Lewisham safer, cleaner and greener. As a Caretaker, you will play an important role in making our hostels a great places to live and delivering fantastic customer service every day. The role can vary, depending on the team the vacancy is in. We require flexible applicants and Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out routine checks and sorting or reporting problems

  • Sweeping and cleaning of internal and external areas, or collection and disposal of large household items.

  • Requesting and monitoring repairs to communal spaces

  • Identifying and reporting nuisance and anti-social behaviour

  • Reasonable written and numeracy skills

You will be joining the biggest team in Lewisham Homes, and could be working in any of the areas we manage so you will need to be prepared to travel to Deptford, New Cross, Brockley, Lewisham, Blackheath, Catford, Sydenham, Forest Hill or Honor Oak. 

We currently have three full time roles available within our Caretaking team. A Full clean, UK driving licence is desirable.
