About the role

Gentoo have a new and exciting opportunity for a Development Director to provide strategic and operational leadership to the Group’s affordable development agenda.As an inspirational leader, you will enthuse and motivate others to embed a strong customer focused culture and be committed to customer experience and satisfaction. You will lead on the effective delivery of the affordable development programme and ensure a pipeline of land and development opportunities is maintained in line with business plan objectives.

You will be responsible for contributing to the overall Group strategy by delivering on development objectives ensuring the organisation is able to respond positively and appropriately to challenges and opportunities.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a self-motivated, innovative and experienced individual with a successful track record of delivering housing development programmes at Director or senior management team level. Strong financial and commercial awareness and experience of continuous improvement to services to deliver increased social value is essential.

The successful candidate will have excellent stakeholder relationship skills and the ability to empower individuals through a shared passion for creating great homes, strong communities and inspiring people. As this is a demanding role, we are seeking a successful leader of people and projects who has personal credibility and will embrace the Group’s values.
