Are you a building professional with experience of compliance regimes for mechanical/electrical equipment and plant for properties and blocks of flats? In this role you will monitor service provider performance (contractors and consultants), report findings and update systems to ensure that EKH fulfils our contractual and statutory obligations to our client councils and residents by delivering compliance and servicing programmes to the required cost, quality and time parameters.

You will contribute to the provision of a resilient, flexible and professional inspection and surveying function for building engineering services and you will procure small scale works (up to £30k) in the most cost effective manner, complying with legislation and Standing Orders in all areas.

You will be primarily based in Dover and covering Margate, Canterbury, Aylesham or Folkestone with home visits to tenants and training/promotional events across East Kent as required

EKH is part of a growing sector which aims to make sure that everyone has a secure home they can afford.  We manage over 17,000 properties for the four councils of East Kent (Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone & Hythe, and Thanet).  We are responsible for the inspection, repair and maintenance of residents’ homes, the collection of charges and rent, and support our residents by providing advice services and responding to enquiries and issues affecting them and the communities that we serve.  Our people work in both customer-facing and business support roles as part of a large not-for-profit ALMO (Arm’s Length Management Organisation) focused on making a difference in the community and to peoples’ lives.
