Salary

The spot salary for this post is £32,638 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

The Role and Person

This role is all about leading a team which provides business support relating to the delivery of planned works and an aids and adaptations service in a concise and structured fashion.   

 

A typical day might include

  • Assessing processes in place and ensure complete familiarisation with all key stages
  • Spending time understanding the planned works programme and aids and adaptations policy together with the budget setting process and service delivery
  • Recommending areas of improvement where processes and ways of working can be bettered
  • Interacting with finance colleagues to ensure all budget information is provided in a succinct and timely fashion
  • Ensuring the team are prepared to produce and provide all programme and management information to internal and external colleagues. Ensuring all documentation is stored appropriately. Establish routines with contractors to aid performance and budget management dependencies.
  • Establishing and embedding appropriate processes and routines to deliver the aids and adaptations service
  • Interacting with contract teams to ensure all valuations and invoices are provided in a timely fashion to meet finance requirements
  • Ensuring that all invoices are processed and sent for payment in accordance with payment terms
  • Ensuring the housing management system is updated with all completed/uncompleted planned and aids and adaptations work so all our data is accurate for future planned programmes
  • Producing and monitoring contractor performance in a timely manner
  • Analysing reports and performance data to feed early warning signs of contractor performance
  • In depth analysis of finance reports to advise of any trends and delivery against budget
  • Assisting in production of future years’ budgets taking into account trends and ensure accuracy
