Accord is a significant housing, health and social care organisation based in in the West Midlands, established in the 1960s following the film ‘Cathy Come Home’ which highlighted the need for social housing arising from homelessness and family breakdown.

As a regional leader in helping to address the housing crisis, we design, manufacture, construct and maintain our own homes, through a highly professional, integrated project team within the Commercial Directorate. We specialise in actively involving customers and communities in shaping the homes and services we provide and as a result our developments are award winning.

We are the lead investment partner of Matrix Housing Partnership and have recently secured “New Ways of Working” status under Wave 1 with Homes England in support of our development program.  Our regulatory judgements on governance and viability have been consistently top-level (G1 and V1) confirming our robust business and financial base.

We are now looking for a Director of Development to lead the Development/Regeneration Team and to deliver the Accord and Matrix development programme as part of our ambitious growth plans.

We are seeking a strategic, socially but commercially focused individual with experience of working with Homes England and with the energy and drive to make a difference.  Your values will align with those of Accord and you will want to play a key part in enabling Accord’s continued success.

This is an exciting time in the housing sector, and this will be a challenging but rewarding role and one that will continue to evolve over time. If you’d like to be part of our journey, we’d like to hear more about you.
