Our target is to build 50,000 new homes over the next 10 years as one of the country's top 5 house builders. In order to achieve our goal we are expanding our team and looking for ambitious, passionate and dedicated development professionals to join us on our journey.

About the role

We are currently looking for a New Business Manager for our Central Region to be based at our Birmingham Office on a permanent basis. In a nutshell, this is a fantastic opportunity to establish a pipeline of suitable development opportunities that fit the group's growth strategy. To support this you will ensure effective relationships are built and maintained with key external partners including Developers, Contractors, Land Agents, Local Authorities, and Homes England.

Some of the key duties include:

  • Work with Head of New Business to ensure that the team plays its role in delivering 50,000 homes in 10 years.
  • Instruct and manage valuers, architects, quantity surveyors, engineers and other consultants as required.
  • Prepare feasibility studies with financial and risk assessments.
  • Prepare detailed financial appraisals and risk assessments, and prepare reports for project approval.
  • Ensure projects are effectively managed in line with funding requirements and internal procedures and ensure that they are handed over to team members with a comprehensive briefing.

About you

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated individual with a thorough knowledge of the development process and of the financial and risk appraisal of projects. You will have experience of securing new business within a housing developer or other property based organisation. You will be an effective communicator with a track record of forming successful partnerships both internally and externally.
