More About Riverside

Riverside is one of the UK’s leading social housing, regeneration and care and support organisations. A group of not-for profit and commercial companies with a charitable housing association at our core, we exist to provide a range of homes and wider support services for people who can’t fully meet their needs through the housing market.

We also invest in community projects, from intensive housing support to help sustain tenancies, through to money and affordable warmth advice, and employment and training services that help tenants back into work.

Our financial strength is evidenced by the success of its record breaking £250m stock market bond in 2014 and being one of only two UK housing associations to have achieved a Moody’s credit rating of A1.

More about Riverside

Riverside goes back 90 years and the group was formed in 2001. This was followed by a period of rapid growth, with seven other housing associations joining us – including English Churches Housing Group (ECHG) in 2006, which now operates as the nationally respected Riverside Care and Support. In 2011, Scottish landlord Irvine Housing Association joined the Group as a subsidiary. A winner of numerous national awards, Riverside’s vision is “Transforming Lives, Revitalising Neighbourhoods”.

The values that guide us in achieving our vision are:

  • People focused
  • Courageous
  • Trusted
  • Ambitious

As well as having the highest viability (V1) and governance (G1) ratings from our regulator Homes England (formerly the HCA), Riverside is also proud to have achieved the Investors in People Gold Standard and been named as one of Stonewall’s top three housing association employers in the North West.
