Care Housing Association (Care) provides specialist supported housing in the North of England for people with learning disabilities and autism who require support. We partner with public and third sector organisations in the health and social care sectors to provide high quality, sustainable housing designed to enable our tenants to live as independently as possible within communities. Care is a Registered Provider with the Regulator of Social Housing and also a Community Benefit Society.

Mission and Values

Our mission statement outlines the aims and purpose of Care Housing Association. In 2019 the staff team reviewed this, then it was approved by the Board:

Offering individuals requiring support a personalised choice of high quality and sustainable supported homes while promoting independence.

Our core values outline our fundamental beliefs; they provide direction when making key operational decisions and when working to achieve our day to day goals.

The values we consider central to Care are:

We are inclusive and adaptable to the needs of our tenants, colleagues and partners.
We consider our tenants in all that we do and we are empathetic to their needs.
We empower our tenants to help improve their lives.
We are innovative and creative.
We are respectfulfair and accountable.
