An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to be responsible for ensuring day to day management and strategic activities relating to the housing and homelessness services are carried out effectively and for the management of operational and strategic staff within the Service.

We are looking for a qualified housing professional with skills in leadership and management, knowledge of current legislation and good practice in housing. Reporting to the Head of Housing, Homelessness and Schoolcare Accommodation Services will be an opportunity for both operational and strategic leadership into the development of the Service.

The successful candidate will hold the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 5 Diploma in Housing plus APEX or an equivalent level Housing qualification which would be accepted for Chartered Membership of the CIH. In addition they will hold appropriate practice (SCQF9) and supervisory management (SCQF8) qualifications to enable registration with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Manager of a Housing Support Service.
Significant experience of working within a housing or homelessness profession is essential as is experience of staff management, supervision and strategy development. The post holds responsibility for line management of team leaders across the fields of housing management, homelessness and housing advice, housing support and policy and planning.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
