About us

Hightown Housing Association Limited is acharitable housing association operating principally in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire providing a wide range of housing and support services for families and single people including people with special needs.

Hightown currently manages almost 6,000 homes and employs over 900 staff. The housing association has an annual turnover of £71 million and a development programme that will deliver around 1,000 new affordable homes over the next two years.

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Scheme Manager at our services at Kent House and St Claire`s based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Kent House - is a 20 bed supported housing project for homeless people, who have diverse needs and issues and require medium to high levels of support in order to maintain their tenancy, address their support needs and `move on` into appropriate accommodation. Tenancies for residents staying at Kent House run for two years. It is hoped that two years will give sufficient time for the goals which are set to address their needs would have been met.

St Claires -is designed to give people in housing need a safe and stable place to stay. Hightown Support offers temporary accommodation and support for people who need help to find a permanent home. This service includes temporary accommodation for 10 people either waiting for permanent housing or waiting for the local council St Albans City & District Council to assess with their housing application.

About you

As a Scheme Manager, you will be part of the Management Team and will be responsible the day to day running of the scheme with duties including staff supervisions, setting the schemes budget and ensuring the scheme works within its budget, over seeing support is delivered on time and to all service users as per agreed support plans, to achieve an excellent standard of outcomes for our service users, as well as participate on the management on-call rota.

You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a track record of promoting inter-agency work with colleagues.

You will be passionate and driven with the desire to provide high quality, person centred services. You will have experience in the delivery of care and/or support services to vulnerable adults and will have some experience of managing staff.
