Sheffield City Council’s Housing and Neighbourhoods Service manages 42,000 homes and has an ambition to increase its affordable housing through new build and acquisitions.  We are seeking an ambitious and energetic manager to lead our Asset Management and Programme Works Team and ensure we make the right decisions for our stock and deliver successful neighbourhoods.

The successful person will be a forward thinker, innovative and an enabler of change. They must be able to strike the right balance between achieving high operational performance and policy/strategic work.

You will need to have a combination of leadership skills and technical knowledge to lead diverse teams to plan and deliver around £60m per year of investment.  You will have a proven track record of delivering excellent performance outcomes in at least one of these fields; housing investment planning, asset management, capital and repairs contracts management.  

Your application form will need to demonstrate experience of financial planning, strong awareness of health and safety issues affecting this activity, asset management databases and that you are able to work in a customer focussed way with tenants and members.
