Money Guidance Officer

We are looking for an exceptional Money Guidance Officer to join our Clarion Futures team on a maternity cover basis to help us deliver and contribute to the development of our Telephone Money Guidance service, incorporating financial assessment, financial capability support, and comprehensive budgeting support for our residents
As a key member of our team, you'll help our clients to develop achievable action plans in response to their needs, including areas such providing guidance on bill payments, energy efficiency, access to grants and signposting to appropriate services or agencies.
You may also be called up to refer residents to other partner and complimentary services, including affordable banking solutions, debt advice, affordable loans, energy advice, employment support, welfare benefits and specialist financial products.
We'll look to you to measure and record the impact of the financial guidance given on the individual clients and their households, as well as raising awareness of our Financial Inclusion programme across both residents and staff in order to generate referrals. You will need to be able to build relationships with a range of external partners in addition to working closely with our Money Guidance team to establish a strong, supportive and dynamic team ethic.
You'll already have experience of delivering high quality, telephone (or face to face) guidance services, gained in a financial guidance or similar context, and your experience of taking a flexible approach to casework to ensure clients are effectively and productively engaged will hold you in good stead.
Personally, you will display strong team working skills, with integrity and credibility and a proven ability and desire to collaborate with others. You'll have excellent communication skills and a sound understanding of legal requirements around financial services and provision of financial guidance.
Your duties will include:
* Providing consistent and appropriate Money Guidance to residents via telephone
* Proactively contacting and supporting residents via telephone
* Maintaining a database of beneficiary outputs and outcomes, reporting project performance and impact to line manager
* Supporting residents in applying for charitable grants including the Money Matters Support Fund and helping to embedding the programme across the Group
