We are looking for a Money Advisor to join our team. You will be responsible for providing financial guidance and advice to our residents in Nottingham and the surrounding areas.

As a natural self starter, you will be able to work on your own initiative. You will have good organisation and diary management skills and the ability to prioritise your daily tasks.

Main accountabilities:
-Visiting our residents at their homes to provide information advice and guidance (IAG), benefit calculations and any other support pertaining to financial inclusion
-Ensure residents are receiving correct benefits.
-Assist residents with budgeting and debt issues, recording the outcome of advice provided.
-Develop relationships with other agencies and gain knowledge of local networks and suppliers such as food banks and furniture suppliers.
-Work with and support vulnerable customers who are under threat of eviction.

Key experience required:
-Working knowledge of the legal framework relating to arrears and debt recovery.
-Working knowledge of welfare benefits and money advice.
-Good understanding of income and debt recovery issues from an operational perspective including the roll out of government reforms.
-Flexible approach to working hours and able to work outside of traditional office hours if required.
-A high standard of literacy, numeracy, written and verbal communication skills.
-You must have a full clean driving licence
