Reporting to the Chief Executive

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Salary £35,000 p.a., reviewed annually

The Finchley Charities has a proud history of over 500 years in the borough of Barnet.

We provide high quality housing for older people in the area with 156 purpose built homes in East Finchley and another 16 due for completion in April 2018. Though our history is long we are a future-focused charity and, through our grants programme and allotments, have the resources and drive to make a real difference to the community.

We are going through an exciting period of growth and change and are looking for a Housing Services Manager with extensive housing management and welfare support experience.

Our ideal candidate will have solid experience in:

  • Providing leadership and management to the Housing Services Team and facilitating effective resident involvement.
  • Ensuring the delivery of excellent customer-focused housing services. Providing welfare support including housing benefit information and advice.
  • End-to-end delivery of agreed performance outcomes and objectives, presenting regular management information and reports on key performance indicators.
  • Ensuring compliance with best practice, the law and the regulatory framework relevant to Housing Services, and that all relevant policies, procedures and processes are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Overseeing cases requiring court action, providing guidance and expertise whenever necessary, as well as enforcement of tenancy and licence conditions.
  • Lettings, assessments, allocations and voids management (working in partnership with the Property Services Team).

Successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS.
