Senior Finance Manager - Shared Service Centre  

£51,896 per annum (rising to £56,268 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) – subject to April pay review


35 hours per week

This job sits within Corporate Shared Services Centre, which provides a single point of access for the delivery of core business processes relating to Human Resources, Finance, Information Systems and Procurement in support of Group objectives.   

The position of Senior Finance Manager within our Shared Service Centre will offer the successful individual the opportunity to be instrumental in the delivery and on-going development of our Corporate Shared Service function, ensuring we provide a high quality, cost effective, compliant and customer focused service.   As a key member of our Shared Services Management Team, the Finance Manager will drive process improvements, enhance internal controls and increase department efficiency.

The role of Senior Finance Manager - Shared Service Centre will include;

  • Leading and mentoring a large transactional team of over 100 staff within  our Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Service Requests and  Fleet Services Teams 
  • Ensuring all processes and month end procedures are completed accurately including high value month end reconciliations
  • Providing immediate, business responsive support and root cause analysis to Senior Management and priority internal customers
  • Delivery and execution of key projects within Corporate Shared Services and across the Group to ensure our customer service provision is continually enhanced
  • Supporting a team of Shared Service Managers to achieve daily and weekly KPIs and SLAs

Skills and experiences;

  • An experienced Finance Manager with strong leadership capability along with a proven background of managing large transactional teams within a shared service function or similar environment
  • A good working knowledge of financial controls and of the end-end  financial management process including month end reconciliations, budget preparation and control
  • A good understanding of business processes and internal control including the ability
  • Skilled at actively building and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships
